Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic protocols
- Count surgical items before/after procedures to ensure completeness
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms with safety protocols
- Process and sterilize reusable surgical instruments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid Michigan Surgical Tech license
