Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Manage sterilization processes and inventory of surgical supplies
- Coordinate with remote team members for pre-operative case planning and documentation
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work effectively in hybrid remote/on-site capacity
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and AORN standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and situational awareness
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
