Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and sterile technique maintenance
- Coordinate equipment sterilization and supply inventory management
- Transport patients and position them safely for surgeries
- Count and document surgical instruments, sponges, and needles
- Maintain sterile environments during complex procedures
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical instrument systems
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid Hawaii state surgical tech license
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
