Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile operating rooms and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in surgical case turnover and room sterilization processes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent surgical tech experience in Level I trauma center
- BLS/CPR certification with current AHA credentials
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
