Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for 15+ daily procedures
- Assist surgeons during orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols per AORN standards
- Manage inventory of 500+ surgical supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless turnover
- Document procedures accurately using Epic EMR system
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- Proficiency in sterile processing and sterilization validation
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation for multiple specialties
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with precise manual dexterity
