Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count and manage surgical supplies to ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Operate specialized surgical equipment including robotic systems and sterilizers
- Transport patients and specimens between surgical suites and recovery areas
- Document equipment maintenance and inventory in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 1+ years of scrub experience in general surgery or specialty areas
- Knowledge of sterile processing and OSHA compliance standards
- Ability to operate advanced surgical equipment (provided on-site)
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with surgical teams
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
