Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy rate
- Perform CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding for multi-specialty physician practices
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through systematic appeals and documentation
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and benefit analysis for new patients
- Manage patient billing inquiries with exceptional customer service standards
- Generate monthly reports on A/R aging and denial trends for leadership
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance in all financial transactions
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge capture completeness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on medical billing experience in a hospital or large clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Proficiency in Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR billing modules
- Demonstrated success with complex insurance claim resolution (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts receivable cycles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
