Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with remote team members for pre-op planning and post-op follow-up
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies between procedures
- Train new staff on sterile processing techniques
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology
- Ability to work independently with remote oversight
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic EHR system experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
