Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor aseptic techniques
- Document procedural events accurately in electronic health records
- Manage operating room inventory and equipment readiness
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Expertise in sterile processing and instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across specialties
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
