Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with hospital protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal availability
- Transport patients to operating rooms and position them for procedures
- Document procedural activities and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital operating room setting
- Proficiency in sterile processing and equipment handling
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong knowledge of surgical terminology and procedures
