Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following strict protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Set up operating rooms with specialized equipment and supplies
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies in compliance with safety standards
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain equipment calibration and functionality checks
- Collaborate with sterile processing team for instrument maintenance
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- BLS certification from AHA
- Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic surgical equipment
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AORN)
- Ability to stand for extended periods in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and aseptic technique
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
