Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain inventory of surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique proficiency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
