Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies after procedures
- Document case details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Graduation from accredited Surgical Technology program OR willingness to complete our training
- BLS/CPR certification (will be provided if not certified)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Valid Texas driver's license (if required for specimen transport)
