Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for procedures
- Stock operating rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
- Document procedural information accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- No prior surgical tech experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining sterile environments
- Background check and drug screen required
