Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies and pharmaceuticals
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in continuing education to maintain certification readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Completion of our 12-week paid training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided upon hire)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality standards
- Pass background check and drug screening
