Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing sterile fields and passing instruments
- Maintain sterile environments in operating rooms and equipment sterilization
- Transport patients and equipment safely between departments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure seamless surgical workflows
- Prepare operating rooms before and after procedures
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior experience required - we provide paid training!
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Certification eligible (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license preferred
