Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything is sterile and ready for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies, maintaining the sterile field.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgical procedures to ensure zero loss.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor the vital signs and condition of patients throughout the surgical process.
- Document patient care actions and surgical procedures accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Willingness to participate in our paid training program to obtain necessary certifications.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required prior to start.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
