Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by preparing instruments, sutures, and sterile drapes.
- Monitor the operating room environment to ensure sterility and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Handle and prepare surgical specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room and position them safely.
- Count sponges and instruments before and after surgery to prevent retained items.
- Maintain accurate logs of surgical supplies and equipment status.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a surgical tech program is a plus but not mandatory for our training track.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete our paid training curriculum.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical stamina required to stand for long periods and assist with patient movement.
