Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during operations.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and alert the surgical team of any changes.
- Ensure operating rooms are clean, safe, and organized.
- Apply sterile dressings to wounds and assist with patient transport.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a surgical tech program preferred.
- Must be willing to participate in our paid on-the-job training program.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Attention to detail and adherence to strict sterile protocols.
