Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments in compliance with AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile supply management
- Perform comprehensive sterile processing and equipment sterilization
- Maintain accurate surgical case documentation and inventory records
- Collaborate with remote sterile processing teams for instrument coordination
- Participate in department quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in hospital/surgical center setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work independently in remote sterile processing coordination
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
