Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical environments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure equipment functionality pre/post-operation
- Document surgical cases accurately using our electronic health record system
- Maintain sterile processing protocols for instrumentation and implants
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflow efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care OR experience preferred
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer proficiency for EHR documentation
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
