Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and implement infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Inventory and restock operating room supplies between cases
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor autoclave processes
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in general surgery
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
