Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis with precise documentation
- Manage sterilization processes and inventory of surgical supplies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in remote case planning and equipment preparation
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative experience in hospital/surgical center setting
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy
- Ability to work independently during remote prep phases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to support on-site surgical rotations as needed
