Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment according to OSHA standards
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with hybrid remote/on-site work model
- Attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
