Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure sterility and safety.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including draping and positioning.
- Document surgical procedures and supplies used.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or certification eligibility.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
