Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Handle surgical specimens and equipment sterilization processes
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless case flow
- Manage inventory and restock operating room supplies
- Document perioperative procedures accurately and promptly
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
