Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle biological specimens and prepare sterile solutions
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification current
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Texas state license or ability to obtain immediately
