Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all procedures
- Count and track surgical sponges, needles, and instruments
- Clean and sterilize equipment post-procedure
- Transport patients safely to/from operating rooms
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or military equivalent
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1-year OR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
