Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient data accurately in Epic EHR systems ensuring compliance with JCAHO standards
- Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on health management protocols and discharge planning
- Respond effectively to emergency situations utilizing ACLS and BLS protocols
Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license (or compact license with Georgia endorsement)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for leadership positions
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and computerized medication administration systems
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-acuity cases in fast-paced environments
- Specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, PCBC) highly valued
