Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned specialty unit (ER, ICU, Med/Surg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and facility protocols
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
- 2+ years recent experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (additional certs based on unit)
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility for 8-13 week assignments
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
