Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Adhere to facility protocols while maintaining evidence-based nursing standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Accurately document all patient assessments and interventions in EMR systems
- Provide orientation and mentorship to unit staff during assignments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP for pediatrics)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
