Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and conducting cycle counts
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and automated dispensing systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and automated systems
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug interactions
