Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with specialized focus on assigned units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and progress; document accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to facility policies, JCAHO standards, and state nursing regulations
- Participate in shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in relevant specialty
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; specialty certifications preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
