Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop/modify comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to ensure optimal recovery.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and changing patient loads.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
