Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care across diverse medical units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Document patient progress accurately in EMR systems
- Adhere to hospital protocols, JCAHO standards, and state regulations
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control measures
- Participate in shift handoffs and team huddles
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia or compact state
- 2+ years of acute care experience in relevant specialty
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP preferred)
- Graduated from accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
- Flexible schedule with availability for 13-week assignments
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic/Cerner experience preferred)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
