Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings including ER, ICU, and Telemetry units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EMR systems
- Adhere to hospital protocols, JCAHO standards, and state nursing regulations
- Provide education to patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP for specific units)
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC, Cerner preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts in rotating schedules
- Valid driver's license for local transportation
