Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions using EMR systems
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning opportunities
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications (e.g., TNCC, PALS)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to new environments
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care
