Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in high-acuity emergency departments across NYC facilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Adapt quickly to new environments and clinical settings while maintaining excellence
- Participate in emergency response procedures and trauma care protocols
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to prioritize patient care in fast-paced settings
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State (or willingness to obtain via compact endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with relevant experience considered
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability in high-stress environments
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence for diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to travel to multiple NYC healthcare facilities as needed
