Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and Telemetry
- Adapt quickly to new healthcare protocols and electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Ensure strict compliance with JCAHO and Hawaii state nursing regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide mentorship to local staff during transition periods
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications required
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Excellent communication and cultural competency skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments
- Valid passport and willingness to travel between assignments
