Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, interventions, and progress.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease management.
- Monitor for adverse reactions and ensure a safe, sterile environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the District of Columbia (or compact state).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a specialty setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; specific specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN) preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Flexibility to adapt to various healthcare environments and shift schedules.
- Valid US work authorization.
