Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize emergency cases and allocate resources efficiently
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed patient assessments
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients while maintaining empathy and cultural sensitivity
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proven ability to work under pressure with strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate sensitive situations
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience highly valued)
- Spanish bilingual certification strongly preferred
- BSN degree or higher (required for leadership track advancement)
