Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical situations
- Document patient assessments and medical histories in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment options and follow-up care
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing as needed in the emergency department
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to make critical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- BSN preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months
