Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine patient acuity levels and prioritize care
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Provide education on self-care and when to seek immediate medical attention
- Coordinate care transitions between departments and external facilities
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Spanish fluency highly valued in Miami's diverse community
