Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone screenings to assess patient acuity and determine appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize urgent cases and coordinate care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation of all patient interactions
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding symptoms, home care, and next steps
- Implement triage protocols aligned with Emergency Severity Index (ESI) standards
- Monitor and report trends in patient complaints to improve care delivery
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (BRN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Spanish bilingual preferred for diverse patient population
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
