Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize acuity levels in the emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols
- Support disaster preparedness and surge capacity protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and triage decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
