Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history via phone triage to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to prioritize patient cases efficiently
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients regarding care instructions and next steps
- Monitor patient flow and adjust triage protocols based on real-time demand
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Minimum 3 years of emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
