Responsibilities
- Assess patient triage levels using ESI protocols within 5 minutes of arrival
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient prioritization
- Document clinical assessments accurately in EMR systems
- Provide telephone triage services for remote patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Train junior staff on triage procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with experience)
