Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Make critical determinations on patient acuity and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and emergency departments for seamless care coordination
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek further medical attention
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak times with efficiency and empathy
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Hawaii with minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills in high-stress situations
- BSN degree or higher from accredited institution
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
