Responsibilities
- Assess patient calls via phone and telehealth platforms, determining urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize critical cases and coordinate emergency responses
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation of triage decisions
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or facility arrival protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
- Act as liaison between patients, providers, and ancillary departments
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
