Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocol
- Make critical triage decisions for emergency room patients of all ages
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide education to patients and families regarding emergency care protocols
- Monitor department flow and communicate bed status to leadership
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Florida
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with ESI triage scale and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
